Movie Reviews for the Masses

Posted in Uncategorized on November 26th, 2007

Are you tired of going to the movies to see what you thought was going to be a good film only to sorely disappointed? I know it’s happened to me more times than I can remember. But the winds of change have swept my way. I happened upon a movie review site that finally gets it right. “How?”, you may ask. Simple, really. The critics that call the site home believe that their sole purpose is to provide the viewer impartial and candid movie reviews – nothing else. If a movie has flaws, they point them out; if a movie deserves credit, they give it. You won’t find anyone working for a movie studio here!

Your next question should be “Where can I find this site?” That’s another simple answer and one I’m more than happy to give out. Make your way to The Critical Critics and get cozy. Get involved with the buzzing community or stay on the sidelines – whatever you choose, just make it a part of your routine when contemplating the next movie to see. I’ve done it and haven’t looked back; I suspect the same will happen for you too.

When we travel, we love taking pictures to bring them back and share with our family and friends. If there was a way by which we could create posters out of these, and place them in our homes, it would make it more beautiful. This software aims at providing its users the freedom to upload from photographs from their archives, transform them into movie posters or motivational posters by adding a few words. With a singe application, that has a motivational, wanted and movie poster generator all rolled into one, this is the best solution available.

Upon creating your own movie or wanted poster, you can then either put it up on the Internet, on your blog or any of the sites you are a member at. Another alternative would be to print it out and display around your house or in your private den.

Free Technology eBooks

I was on Google looking for free stuff as I often do and I ran across a very interesting site. This site lists sources for free eBooks. These books range from textbooks to lecture notes to books on programing and much more.

I was very interested to see this because I am always looking for ways to improve on my programing skills. I have also found many books with help to improve my math skills.

No Matter what you want to read about the field of technology, they seem to have the book you need. They also seem to update their site quite often. I just read a course on Algebra and it helped with one of the concepts I was struggling with.

I see people all the time paying for eBooks on different technology skills. With this sites, you get the same knowledge for free. If you are looking for some free reading, you may want to check out this site :

Ab Workouts Myths

Posted in Uncategorized on November 1st, 2007

By dispelling myths and understanding the facts about Ab Workouts, you will be able to learn how to live a healthy lifestyle and maybe even get rock hard abs.

First of all, doing Ab Workouts will not get rid of abdominal fat. Spot training will not work because doing ab workouts will not get rid of the underlying fat in your abdominal regions. The only way to get a flat belly is through prolonged Ab Workouts and a healthy low calorie diet. Alongside Ab Workouts, you must also have regular cardio exercises, strength training and flexibility training. Eat plenty of vegetables and fruits, too.

You do not have to do your Ab Workouts everyday. One of the rules of weight training is to give your muscles at least one day to rest and recuperate; this goes the same for Ab Workouts. Do your Ab Workouts every other day or at least thrice a week. The trick is to work your abs hard enough to actually challenge them.

Your Ab Workouts do not have to involve high repetitions for you to see any progress. If you feel that you need more reps in your Ab Workouts, it’s probably because you’re not working your abdominal muscles hard enough. Doing 100 reps in the wrong position will not do your abs any good. An Ab Workout with 50 reps, if done properly will give you better results.

Don’t be discouraged if you don’t get results in your Ab Workouts right away. Not everybody can get a flat belly. There are a lot of factors that dictate how our bodies will look; age, gender, genes. Women tend to store fat in their lower belly, while men around their mid section. An Ab Workout will only give you desired results with a lot of hard work and discipline.

Sinus Infection Help and Resource

Posted in Uncategorized on November 1st, 2007

This article is about a condition known as Sinus Infection or Sinusitis. I did not realise initially that I have such an illness because the sinus infection symptoms were not serious enough for me to notice it.

As early as 1995, I started feeling groggy on waking up in the morning. This went on for months and I decided to see a General Practitioner regarding this problem. A blood test was done which did not show anything unusual except for an abnormal reading on the ESR test. The doctor in attendance told me it could be just stress owing to lack of sleep and told me to adopt a less stressful lifestyle. It was comforting to know that I am not suffering from any serious health problems such as Cancer. But still, I was not convinced and went to an Ophthalmologist to check if my eyes were alright. Numerous tests were done and again. I was given a clean bill of health. Even though the problem persisted for the next 12 years, I lived with this debilitating condition.

This year 2007, I fell ill in January. I had fever, cough and sore throat and the doctor prescribed the usual course of antibiotics to treat the illness. I recovered but the cough persists. Then in February, I was sick again with the same symptoms. Another course of antibiotics was prescribed. However in March, I was again sick with the same symptoms except that this time, both my ears were blocked. Now, I was getting worried and even though the doctor could not detect any problems with my lungs through a stethoscope, she was a little worried as my cough did not clear up for more than 2 months. I went for a chest X-Ray and the results were negative. So, she suggested that I see an ENT specialist.

The ENT specialist identified the problem as Sinus Infection and prescribed me a course of steroids to clear up the inflammation in the Nasal area. Within a week, the groggy feeling which I have been having for more than 10 years disappeared. I felt like a new person. My head and vision was clear and I don’t feel the congestion in the facial area anymore!

I thought I was totally cleared of this Sinus Infection forever! But alas, it was not to be. The problem came back as soon as I was off the steroids.

Currently, I am performing Nasal Irrigation to combat the effects of the Sinus Infection. This helps immensely, but I have to do this a few times a day in order to feel better.

I have done a great deal of research about this condition and would like to share these information with all who are suffering from this debilitating illness.
