Entrecard.com Review

Entrecard.com is a site set up to exchange traffic with other bloggers. It is based off the premise of the old business card idea. If you stop by a blog that has a Entrecard widget installed, you can drop your card to show that you were there. By doing this, you review credits from Entrecard.
Using those very same widgets, people can advertise on your site and you can advertise on their site. This is done by spending your credits. You earn credits when you drop a card, someone drops a card on you, or you sell advertisements on your widget.
It is easy to sign up and the service is free. You simply create a 125×125 logo of your site. This can be done either yourself or you can use a generic one created on their site. You place a small widget on your blog in the sidebar and then start to visit blogs. The more drops you make, the more credits you have to advertise.
The cost of advertising is based on how popular the website is. Each ad runs for one day. The more ads waiting to advertise on a certain site, the more credits it cost to advertise. It is easy to search for related sites and also search by cheapest or newest.
I was a bit confused on how to use Entrecard so I did not use it much when I first signed up. I could not figure out how to approve sites to advertise on my blogs. This is quite easy. The ads are located on the right side of the dashboard when you log in. It will showing all ads waiting for approval and the ads waiting that have already been approved. It also shows the current ad running. You have the option to decline any ad you feel is not matched with your site or inappropriate.
I love the site, it is fun and a great way to see new blogs that I would otherwise never know about. I like to play around when I am bored and drop cards on several sites. The site is easy to navigate once you know what you are doing.
The downside is, I have not seen quality traffic from Entrecard. People seem to just stop by drop a card and leave. I have just recently started using the advertising and as of yet, I have not seen too many results. This may change and I will update this post if it does.
Overall, this site is fun, it does not take too much time. It is a free way to earn credits with a chance to advertise on other blogs. The quality of traffic is not well targeted because people will stop by any blog to be able to earn credits.
I would not say this is a huge source of traffic and it takes some time to earn credits. However, it is free and any traffic could have the potential to convert to a loyal reader. I say that you have nothing to lose by using their service and unlike many social exchange sites, they do not over regulate with their rules. For this reason, I say jump on board and have fun. You can see how it looks on your site by looking at the sidebar

Good observations.
The overall Entrecard experience is a fun one, and I’ve found it more interesting than the traditional blog social networks. You’re also right that the traffic from EC is low quality for the most part, but every now and then you do get someone who will read your posts. It also helps to regularly produce high quality content.
Cheers!
Entrecard won’t give you tons of traffics, but it will eventually give you loyal readers and commentators, if your blog is good
I have a few entrecard guides on my blog if you’re interested to read it.
Anyways, have fun and welcome to Entrecard!
I have been using Entrecard for a fairly short period of time, but as you said, I find it more fun than useful at the moment. It requires you to be active at it to gain traffic – and often you just get a drop in your blog, instead of comments which I would much prefer myself. Not that I didn’t like drops, it’s better than nothing at all! I have also found a few really cool blogs through EntreCard that I have started reading regularly. This is fairly good news, as before I haven’t really found it worth while to try and keep up with any blog, no matter how much I liked them. So far, of all these MyBlogLogs and the type, EntreCard appeals to me the most.
I have also noticed that most people just drop their card and don’t bother to comment or anything. I do enjoy checking out most of the droppers sites. I just think it would be better if someone actally read some of the posts before just dropping their card and leaving.
Agree for the most part. I’ve found some interesting blogs but a lot of the advertisers aren’t really relevant. I do have my first comments thanks to EC, though, which is cool. I haven’t done much advertising as I’ve yet to earn a lot of credits.
But you’re right about worthless visitors and such. It seems like a lot of the members have blogs which solely exist for the purpose of money making and advertising, without a lot of content people actually want to read. A lot of these blogs, unfortunately, seem to be in horrid English. Ugh.
I’ve been with entrecard on and off for a few months. I recently put the widget back on my blog ’cause I was bored, and my Alexa rank started to tank big time. Entrecard is more for social networking, only thing is, there aren’t a lot of blogs in my niche on there. But I’ve found some cool bloggers on there that I network with, and so I must say it’s worth it, at least for your first year.
