The Eureka 4870mz Boss Smart VAC Upright Hepa vacuum cleaner comes equipped with a unique, sealed, HEPA filtration system that captures 99.97 percent of dust, pollen, allergens, and bacteria. So do many others (one even named its product after 99.97%!). What makes this one unique is the combination of features, quality and price, they are balanced and that is rare. The Eureka 4870mz features a Direct Air Control System, an air flow switch that lets you direct suction either to the carpet or to the hose for attachment use. The Power Paw brush makes it easy to clean stairs and upholstery, and as the name implies is intended to handle your pet hair issues.
There are a few other features unique to the Eureka Boss, such as the 30-foot cord. This is a full 6 feet longer than most others and a real god send when your just short of finishing. The other is the 15 inch wide cleaning path, just a little wider than most others as well. It also has a quick brush control switch allowing you to go from carpet to floor without stopping. The list price is $199.99 but a little shopping can buy you as much as 30% off making this an even better value for the money invested. Over-all, this is the definition of value for money.

Although most the reviews are for the 4870GZ and I bought the 4870MZ, I suspect the machines are basically the same so I won’t repeat what others have already said about it except to say this is a solid machine with excellent suction and it did a great job on my carpets, both deep cleaning and returning the nap to a plush feel.
Love this vacuum. I also owned it’s predecessor and due to no fault of its own, I needed a replacement. Eureka has proven themselves again. The suction on this thing is unbelievable. I love the spinning brush that whips the carpet as I vacuum. It feels new again under my feet as I vacuum. The box says it’s 60% more powerful than the Dyson but at half the price. The first part I believe, the second is a fact.
