The Dyson product line is one of the most hyped and advertised in the recent years. This is the one that they push the most, the “Ball” line. The Animal Ball is the version of this product line that is specifically designed for homes with pets. The most important thing about any vacuum cleaner is the suction power. On that score this is generally a winner. Most everyone that has used it, even those who didn’t like it for one reason or another, will admit that the suction power is remarkable. The vacuum cleaners head size is 12.5 inches, less than others but that is due to its mobility design. The standard cord is 24 feet long, adequate for single rooms but less than some other models.

As to its vaunted maneuverability, almost everybody that’s used it has commented that its design is superior in that regard. There is a switch that turns off the brush motor for hardwood floors, although you can leave it set that way as the unit automatically turns it back on when you power it on again. Generally, this product does as it says it will do. But, the price is the most often mentioned negative. The retail list price is a whopping $549.00! That is a significant investment for any piece of equipment. In this case perhaps too much. Yes Dyson backs this up with a 5 year parts and labor warranty but for less than half you could find a high quality vacuum cleaner to do most of the work you need. Is it worth it? Yes. but be warned, your expectations could result in a negative reaction if your not ready for it.

I loved my Dyson DC14 and couldn’t resist buying the new DC25. Without question a delight to use and I love the new ball! (Replaces traditional vacuum wheel set so it maneuvers effortlessly! The best of the best! (I also like that the DC25 is a bit smaller than the DC14- just easier to use.)

I hate cleaning. Particularly vacuuming, which is on par to cleaning the tub on the list of things I avoid until I absolutely cannot help it any more (which is usually when guests are coming over). The biggest compliment I can give this vacuum is that it makes me want to vacuum my floors. It is light. It was easy to assemble. It picks up hair from my two long hair black cats that embeds itself in my tan carpet. Best vacuum I’ve ever owned.

The Dyson Ball product line is famous, lots of television advertizing and marketing have pushed this into the lime-light. With an product so hyped you expect very high quality and value for money. You also expect tight company support. These facts are true in the case of the Dyson DC25 unit. Powered by a 11 amp motor Dyson is rightfully proud of the scientific testing that proves that the unit loses no suction power. And customer testimony proves that out. This is one of several units of this product line including the “Animal” and “Blueprint” all are essentially identical save for the types of attachments.

There are a few frequent complaints such as the tendency of attachment to pull free from their connectors while using them at full reach, due to pulling on them. Additionally, there is the small capacity of the dirt cup and several people have complained of the emptying process as well. Dyson backs this up to the hilt with a 5 year parts and labor warranty. The quality of the Dyson DC25 is obvious. The most hyped factor, the maneuverability is for real, coupled with its light weight this is possibly the easiest vacuum cleaner on the market to use and it will corner better than a Ferrari. All of that is important because of the cost of the unit, a staggering $499.00. As to whether the Dyson line is worth the money, well it could go either way. The unit is build with quality and full warranty backing so in and of itself yes, it is. But for a lot less there are units that may do just as well for your needs. Caveat Emptor.

This is under 12 pounds, fits easily in a closet, and is so light it’s very easy to carry up stairs. I’ll admit I’m not a fan of cleaning but being a female engineer I certainly appreciate well-designed products. This one has many clever features. The cleaning head is low-profile, so it easily hugs floor boards under kitchen cabinets (huge plus!). The ball design is incredibly inventive and so easy to use.

We were going to buy the DC07, but decided the DC25 was worth the upgrade….boy, were we right!!!
The main clencher is the ease of using the attachment tools, with the DC25, you just extend the telescoping pole, and, voila! you’re ready to go!{the DC07 requires plugging/unplugging to use the attachment tools} I found myself attacking every corner and groove with…
