Studies have shown that a high percentage of shoppers purposely look for product reviews before making a buying decision. If you want to do any kind of review good justice, then you will find a way to get your hands on the product you want to review. Personally, if there is no reasonable way to obtain firsthand experience, then we simply do not review it and find something else to promote. Getting as much competitive edge with your reviews is simply a necessity with today’s online business environment.
Make sure you start off your product review with a strong introduction because ultimately the kind of intro you give plays a major role in pushing your readers to move ahead. Be specific about the product you will be talking about, and also say a few words about why that product is important enough to review in the first place. If the reader is interested enough in the product to find your review, then you know that part is already there – so take advantage of the existing desire to know more. The writing style of your product review should be relaxed and friendly; your prospect shouldn’t feel that they are reading a sophisticated piece of informational advice. If you get that part wrong then there will be a basic miscommunication problem which will definitely hurt your conversions. Look at it as if you’re writing a letter to your friend so that you’re able to give your target audience first hand advice in friendly manner. People can respond in ways that are unexpected, and all we can do is perform the best we can in our marketing.
It is fine if you want to talk about other products that deliver along similar lines, but you have to be very objective about it. Any time you can make the review process easier for the reader, then that is always a good thing. Well, you never know what people will do, and so all you can do is present the information and let people read it and decide. Just make sure you don’t showcase the competitors product in a negative light.
One of the most important factors that you need to keep in mind is the genuineness of your product review and how much value it delivers to your prospect. You will see whether or not you have done a good job with your review, and if not then troubleshoot it and fix the problem. If you are just starting out in IM, then you are not ready to put your first review together because you still need to learn more.
